The Ultra Pro hand-held ultrasound imaging camera is capable of accurately locating gas leaks from several meters with unrivaled speed. It excels in finding leaks in high or in hard-to-reach areas.

The sensor works by detecting the specific sounds that pressurized gas leaks emit. Thanks to its integrated 124 ultrasound microphones, the ultrasound camera reconstructs the position of the sound source. The information is overlaid in real-time with a wide angle optical image.

Ultra Pro creates, in a single tap, images and videos that can be assembled in reports either using Distran’s reporting software Audalytics or with the user’s preferred software.

Enserve Environmental Services uses Ultrasound technology to detect leaks to atmosphere as well as internal leaks in piping i.e. passing valves and steam traps malfunctioning. The US technology also allow us to checkleaks on pressurised systems as well as vacuum systems.

This is particularly useful in establishing the location and cause of pipeline flow problems that create adverse operating conditions in process plants.

The USD methodology can also be adapted to determine mal-operationin steam traps and other process systems and together with the airborne
sensor, invisible steam leaks into the atmosphere can also be detected. In some instances this also results in noise barrier reduction in operational areas.

Apart from process operations, the benefits of ultrasonic detection also cover applications of a mechanical or electrical
nature.

Our ultrasonic system can detect, measure and analyse high frequency sound waves created by minute changes in friction and subsequent turbulence variances occurring in a process plant system. These ultrasonic frequencies are amplified and can be heard by means of headphones.  

This enables our trained technician to detect anomalies & efficiently, without being invasive.
