About Enserve Environmental Services
Enserve employs over 150 employees in seven centres. With a turnover of $8 million per annum, the company is the largest privately owned pump and valve company in Southern Africa.
Enserve (Pty) Ltd was founded by Steve Bannister, Barnie Brits and Pieter van Schalkwyk in South Africa in 1993.
Enserve began trading from 28 Edison Boulevard in Vanderbijlpark, and then moved in 2015 to 51 Saturn street, Naledi Industrial Park in Sasolburg which remains our head office today.
Initially the company focused on manual valve reconditioning. In 1999 Enserve opened an office in Durban, KwaZulu Natal, to enhance turnaround times to customers. In the same year, Enserve acquired Sasol’s valve repair centre, situated on the Polymers site in Sasolburg. This gave Enserve the equipment, resources and expertise to recondition manual valves, control and safety valves.
In 2001 Enserve expanded into the Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) field. Today the company is a leader in the LDAR sector on the African continent, having invested over $300 000 in specialist leak detection equipment. We expanded our LDAR reach by opening up a branch in Secunda in 2001, specifically to service Sasol Secunda’s LDAR requirements.
In 2005 Enserve purchased the designs, patterns equipment and stock for IPV (Industrial and Petroleum Valves), and began manufacturing the entire range of IPV products including ball, butterfly and check valves. Today this range of products is regarded as one of the leading firesafe certified ball valve brands in the world.
Continuing our expansion, we extended our valve repair services to the power generation industry in 2007 and in the same year, a repair centre was established at Kelvin Power Station in Johannesburg, to provide a valve repair service to customers in the region. A specialist valve repair centre was also established at Tutuka Power Station. Today Enserve provides a one stop valve repair service to all of the Eskom Power Stations in Mpumalanga.
In 2009, Enserve established ROTASERVE (in which Enserve’s shareholders hold an 80% shareholding), a company dedicated to offering specialist pump supply and repair services to our existing customer base.
In 2010 we opened our first International subsidiary, Enserve Ghana. Situated in Accra, the capital city, Enserve Ghana offers a range of civil engineering services – including road construction, light steel frame housing construction and waste water treatment plant design and installation.
2010 also saw Enserve embark on an ambitious project to complement its pump and valve services with a range of specialist pump, valve and safety products. These include the Bungaartz range of hazardous duty pumps, Duram Mask escape masks and the Ari range of steam valves and steam traps.
We are committed to executing projects to the highest quality, to agreed schedules and within budget, and are totally dedicated to innovation and excellence in the provision of all of the services we offer.
